Bacteriostatic Water (Bac water) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, parenteral preparation of water for injection containing 0.9% benzyl alcohol, used primarily to dilute or dissolve medications for multiple-dose injections. It prevents bacterial growth, enabling the vial to be accessed repeatedly, usually for up to 28 days
